Lions News 7/21/08

It has been said before, I will say it again, thank all of you who turned out to put together T-Bones reception. In no time flat we put together something we could be proud of, something he would have been honored by I think. Nice work lads.

Lion Sean has been emailing me all morning being a total wanker and pointing out my spelling errors, so I have made a few corrections to some of the pages within. Most notable, our latest group has been added to the roster and I made some corrections to the New Member procedures page.

OK- so what is coming up...FOOTBALL! This event in my opinion is often under-supported by Lions, which is tragic since we have nothing else going on right now and this is a great thing we do for the kids of this community. Anyway, if you look to the left you will see a schedule for the games, it would be nice to see some new faces out there. Speaking of new faces, I have re-arranged my schedule dramatically and decided that I am going to, in the future, chair only one event. With 80+ guys there is no reason for me or any of the older guys to hog all the fun, so on the chopping block is the Fireworks Booth. I am available, of course, to help as needed, I just think it is time for someone else to take it on. In fact, I think a lot of you guys that have been in for a bit ought to think about giving up events so the newer Lions can show us what they've got...Ricky and fathers day come to mind as proof that these fellows can do something, why not let them? Anyway, it is up for grabs and comes complete with a great calculator- let me know if you are interested.
